Create an account with TIK TOK and you’ll discover tons of 60-second or fewer videos of teachers sharing tips, tricks, and real-life experiences! Within this unique digital community, teachers share raw and real stories from the classroom, create engaging resources for other teachers to use, and produce inspirational content that helps other teachers know they are not alone.
 
For those of you who teach courses within the Education & Training Pathway, you have the privilege of educating teens who have the desire to become teachers themselves. As educators, we know that we have to be determined and willing to become lifelong learners of our craft. With the production of new technology, the creation of innovative resources and strategies, and the collaboration that social media provides, it is imperative that our students start filling their teacher toolboxes now so that they can better serve their students in the future.
 
For this assignment, your students are tasked with searching for and connecting with an educator who is maximizing their teaching potential through the use of Instagram or Tik Tok. This teacher is a professional whom they can look up to and get inspiration from as they move throughout their journey toward the profession that leads to all other professions!
 
Students will:
1) Locate an Educator
2) Collect & Gather Educator's Bio
3) Prep & Prepare Interview Questions
4) Contact Educator & Ask Questions
5) Explore Social Media Content & Select their Favorite Post
6) Summarize Educator in a Presentation
