Students begin by watching “day in the life” videos from 16 real prenatal care professionals, allowing them to hear directly from people working in the field. These videos provide authentic insight into daily responsibilities, work settings, and the impact each role has on mothers and babies.

For The Application Piece:
 
Students will design a TikTok-style “Day in the Life” script for a prenatal care professional of their choosing. I've given you two options for the project. The first option is great if you're short on time (one day). The second option is great if you're not worried about the time it takes for students to complete (two days).
 
Option 1: Short Form Video: Using a phone template, students illustrate a scene and write a first-person voice-over that demonstrates their understanding of the career’s responsibilities, work environment, and role on the prenatal care team.
 
Option 2: Long Form Video: Using a standard film template with 6 separate blank films, students illustrate 6 different scenes and write a first-person voice-over for each scene that demonstrates their understanding of the professional's responsibilities, work environment, and role on the prenatal care team.
